     A: Def: infection that invades the orbit, usually seeded from the ethmoid sinus.

Organism: Staph aureus, H.Flu in young kids, mucormycosis in DM or immunocompromise.

S/S: EOM movement impaired, pain, fever, proptosis, decreased visual acuity, can result in cavernous sinus thrombosis
